Today I flew up to Rosamond for a fly-in that EAA Chapter 1000 puts on each year. It was nice and small, very casual and relaxed. Jim Lozano, RV-7 builder, rode shotgun and did most of the flying. I got to sit back and enjoy the ride.

There was a broken layer in the basin, so we first flew to the east and then climbed above it. Then we flew over Pomona VOR direct Palmdale VOR, crossing the San Gabriel mountains.

I didn't get any photos at the fly-in...I was too busy answering questions about the RV-7. We met some great folks. A handful of 'em were F-16 pilots out of Edwards, some of whom were considering building an RV at some point.
