
Here's what I'm talking about...I added a patch of many plies of fiberglass to build that area up by about 3/32" to 1/8" in thickness. You can kind of make out two "crosshairs" that are marked on the other side (the outside). Those are marks that I made to reference the exact centers of the holes in the brackets. I wanted to have a good reference for re-drilling these holes after adding the fiberglass "patches."

Here's an idea I'm stealing from lots of RVers out there. 1/2" schedule 40 PVC pipe, tees, elbows, and caps. Cut lengths and get materials as follows:

They go together like this to make a nice lightweight, easy to place wheel chock.
